Lunch meeting immediately following OARtech.
There will be a lunch meeting to kick off OARperf. OARperf is a part of the CC-IIE program sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Last year a perfSONAR workshop was held as phase one of the program. Each OARnet participant at the workshop received a perfSONAR unit for their campus. There is still funding for additional units. While perfSONAR is the most immediate focus, the overall goal is to establish a community of network performance expertise within the OARnet community at the campus layer in order to support the research and academic missions of Ohio’s colleges. No prior experience required. All are welcome.
Items to be discussed include, governance model of the perfSONAR deployment, support and configuration of nodes. Architecture of deployment as well as alternative activities are open for discussion.
