The Quilt is the national coalition of advanced regional networks for research and education, representing 31 networks across the country. Participants in The Quilt provide advanced network services and applications to over 200 universities and thousands of other educational institutions.
With the goal of promoting consistent, reliable, interop¬erable and efficient advanced networking services that extend to the broadest possible community; and to represent common interests in the development and delivery of advanced network services, The Quilt:
Facilitates collaboration among regional networks
Advocates on behalf of regional networks, and

This Quilt is happy to announce registration for our Fall Member Meeting. The dates for the event are Tuesday, September 11th - Thursday, September 13th, 2012.
In celebration of OARnet's 25th Anniversary, we have been invited to hold the meeting on the campus of Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, at the Blackwell Inn.
The Quilt Member Board Meeting will be held on the afternoon of September 11th and a joint Quilt / OARnet reception will be held that evening following the Board Meeting. The Quilt Fall Member Program will begin at 8:00am on Wednesday, September 12th and run through Thursday, September 13th at 12:00pm. Meeting topics and the agenda will be announced soon.
The Quilt is offering an Advocacy Workshop on the afternoon of Thursday, September 13th the through following afternoon, Friday September 14th, 2012.
If you or other members of your organization are interested in participating in this upcoming workshop, please respond to Jen Leasure by Friday, June 15th so we can plan appropriately for the session. jen@thequilt.net
