Columbus, Ohio (May 7, 2012) - Ohio’s new ultra-fast broadband network will have even greater statewide reach as the cities of Portsmouth and Wooster now will join Akron, Athens and Youngstown as hubs for Phase II development of a state-led initiative that will leverage astonishing network speeds of 100 Gigabits per second (Gbps).

The event was one of many activities designed to help organizations prepare for the shift to IPv6, the new Internet protocol.

Columbus, Ohio (June 16, 2011) — Com Net, Inc., Horizon Telcom and OneCommunity, collectively awarded a total of $141.3 million in federal stimulus funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, have received the go-ahead to break ground on their projects. The awarded projects will add more than 3,600 new miles of broadband fiber throughout Ohio.
